Who operates the service
TheIsleMinimap is an independently and privately operated digital software service offered online to users in many countries. The public privacy contact is . No private residential address or personal operator identity is published through this website.
Website visits and security
When you open this website, the services used to deliver and protect it process technical request information such as your IP address, browser details, requested page and time of access. This information is used to provide the requested page, maintain reliability and prevent abuse. The website does not currently contain advertising pixels or an analytics script.
TheIsleMinimap accounts
If you sign up, we process your username, email, password hash, email-verification status, terms acceptance time and version, account status and sign-in session to provide and secure your account. Passwords are not stored in readable form. Recovery and verification tokens are time-limited and stored as hashes. Administrative access, account changes and security-sensitive actions may be recorded in limited audit logs.
While you are signed in, we record the website pages you visit, clicks and feature interactions, account requests and their outcomes to diagnose problems and understand how the service is used. This history is linked to your account, accessible only to administrators, and retained for up to 90 days with scheduled cleanup. It does not contain passwords, full license keys, form contents or payment details. Browser-reported interactions may be incomplete and do not prove that an action completed. Activity inside external services is not recorded.
We use your email for verification, requested account recovery and necessary security messages. If you separately choose the optional special-offer checkbox, we also record your consent state and may send occasional TheIsleMinimap product updates or discounts. You can withdraw that consent at any time from your dashboard or through the unsubscribe link included in each promotional email. Withdrawing does not affect necessary account, security, billing or support messages. A transactional email delivery service processes those messages. Account features do not automatically connect to the app's optional anonymous squad identity.
If you choose Continue with Discord, Discord shares your account identifier, username and email address, including whether the email is verified, so we can create or sign in to your website account. We store the Discord identifier and username linked to your account. Access tokens are used briefly to retrieve these details and are not retained. Connecting an existing account requires confirmation from that account; an email match alone does not connect accounts. You can disconnect Discord in Security after setting a TheIsleMinimap account password. Signing in does not join a Discord server or grant server roles. Discord processes authorization under its privacy policy.
For licenses, we store a one-way hash and short display prefix of the key, its account association, access tier, issuance type, status, expiration (if any), internal administrative note and audit timestamps. An active key may also be stored in encrypted form so its account owner can reveal it securely. The encrypted copy is replaced when the key is rotated and removed when the license is permanently revoked or deleted. Activation records contain one-way hashes of a randomly generated installation identifier and activation token, app version, status and recent verification times. They do not contain hardware serial numbers.
Payments and subscriptions
Stripe is the currently enabled hosted payment provider. Card, bank-account and wallet details are entered on Stripe's checkout and are not collected or stored by TheIsleMinimap. Stripe processes payment and tax-location information under its own privacy information and terms. PayPal or Paddle may appear only if one of those optional providers is enabled in the future.
We keep limited payment records, including your payment provider, transaction and subscription references, billing status, renewal or end dates, cancellation preferences, and the account and license associated with your purchase. We also keep limited processing records to avoid duplicate transactions and investigate payment problems. Full payment notifications are not retained.
If you open a support ticket, we store its subject, messages, status, timestamps and account association. Administrators can read and reply to tickets; other members cannot view your tickets. Email notifications link back to the ticket but do not include its messages. Do not submit passwords, recovery codes or payment details in a ticket.
Squad Monthly and Squad Quarterly sharing records the subscriber, invited account, acceptance and assigned license. The subscriber and invited friend can see each other’s usernames and the shared-access status. Sharing does not reveal your email, password, payment details or license key to another member. Removing shared access does not remove separately owned licenses.
Account data and tickets are retained while the account is active. An account without protected paid access can be deleted from its security settings. An account with an active license, purchase or subscription must first request review through support so access and billing are handled safely. Cancel recurring billing through the billing-management link before deletion. Account deletion revokes associated licenses and removes the account record, verification and recovery tokens, support tickets, checkout references and account-linked purchase or subscription rows. Limited de-identified license, payment-event and administrative audit entries may remain where needed for security, accounting, disputes or legal obligations. Account deletion does not delete a separate optional in-app squad identity.
Position capture in the app
Automatic Asset Location reading is disabled by default. If you choose to enable it, the selected part of your screen is processed locally with Windows offline text recognition. The captured image is not sent to our website or squad service by this feature. You can also copy coordinates manually from the in-game Tab panel.
Map settings, the optional movement trail, your Solo marker color and personal pin locations are stored on your device. Solo pins are not shared with a squad; turning them off hides them without deleting their saved locations. The app does not read game memory or inspect network packets.
Private squads
Squads are optional. If you create or join one, an anonymous account identifier is used to store squad membership, your selected marker color, an optional short squad name, the latest shared coordinates and timestamp, and any shared destination pin. Other members of that private squad can see the latest position, marker color and optional name you share and the shared pin; these are not a public map feed.
The squad code is stored in readable local app settings so the app can reconnect. The anonymous authentication token is encrypted for the current Windows user using Windows data protection. Squads have no leader. Leaving requests removal of your own position and membership; the remaining members keep the squad and shared pin. When Squad access ends, that member’s slot is removed automatically. Temporary connection errors keep the saved squad. Squads are removed after 14 days without an active member. Limited authentication and security records may remain after those actions where needed to secure the service.
License checks and updates
License activation and validation process the hashed installation and activation identifiers, license status, access tier, app version, expiry and recent verification times needed to authorize access. A real-time connection can notify the running app promptly when a license is suspended, reset, rotated or revoked.
Update checks contact TheIsleMinimap's update service to determine whether a newer app version is available and to download it when requested. The online services involved in accounts, email, payments, licensing, updates and optional squads may process necessary technical information in countries other than yours under applicable safeguards.
Age, choices and requests
The services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect account information from anyone under 13. A user who is at least 13 but has not reached the age needed to consent or enter a contract where they live must have a parent or legal guardian review and permit use of the service and authorize any purchase. If you believe a child under 13 provided account information, email us so it can be investigated and removed where appropriate.
You can disable optional screen reading and squad sharing in the app, leave a squad, unsubscribe from promotional email, remove cookies through your browser, update account information, cancel recurring billing and request account deletion. For access, correction, deletion, objection or other privacy questions available under applicable law, use the Account Portal support system or email . We may need to verify that the request concerns your account.
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no online service or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. This page will be updated if the product's data practices materially change.
